Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026. We keep things simple — here is how Kitora handles your data.
Overview
Kitora provides free online utilities for developers, designers, and creators. We are committed to privacy-first design: most tools run in your browser, and we do not sell your personal data.
Client-side processing
Many tools — formatters, converters, encoders, and similar utilities — process input entirely in your browser using JavaScript. In those cases, your text, files, or payloads are not transmitted to our servers for processing.
Tools that require external APIs (AI assistants, PageSpeed checks, currency rates, etc.) send only the data needed to fulfill your request. Each tool page describes its behavior clearly.
Local storage
We use your browser's local storage to persist preferences such as:
- Favorite tools
- Recently used tools
- Theme preference (light, dark, or system)
This data stays on your device and is not synced to our servers. You can clear it anytime through your browser settings.
Server-side API keys
Features that call third-party providers (OpenAI, Groq, Gemini, PageSpeed, Resend email, etc.) use API keys stored securely in server environment variables. Keys are never exposed in client-side code or bundled JavaScript.
Contact form submissions
When you submit the contact, feedback, or bug report forms, we collect the name, email, and message you provide to respond to your inquiry. Submissions may be sent via email through our email provider and are not used for marketing without your consent.
Analytics and cookies
We do not use invasive tracking cookies. Theme preferences may be stored locally. See our Cookie Policy for details.
We do not sell your data
Kitora does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for advertising or data-broker purposes.
